Death is not an easy thing.  Especially when you lose someone you love.  I awoke this morning to find that I had lost my best friend and he had been taken off to heaven.  He is now with the Lord and in great hands!  That does not change the way I feel though!  I feel lost, dejected, and in a sense like a big part of myself has been removed.  Elijah and Elisha had the same kind of relationship.  In fact, several times Elijah wanted to split up and Elisha was having no part of it!  In 2 Kings 2:9 when it finally became time to depart  Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” Elisha responded “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit”!  Do you ever feel that because of that loved one or friend, you have been made a better person?   Dan Dunn, you have made me a better person!  Because of your friendship I am left wanting! And if I had a prayer today it is that I might inherit a double portion of your spirit! Godly Friend, True Cowboy, True Patriot, True Leader!  Rest Well My Friend!!!
