Q&A with Roy:
Favorite scripture verse:
Why radio? How did you get into radio?
I have the typical path into radio. After 12 years as a police officer in Edinboro, I was injured in the line of duty and had to retire. Of course, the next logical step was being a radio DJ.
What is your favorite TV show from your childhood?
It’s a tossup between Starsky & Hutch and Batman.
What do you love about working here?
I love that I get paid to have fun, and that while entertaining people and having fun, God somehow uses that to connect with people who are lost and hurting and in need of His love and grace. That God has called me to be part of what He is doing is truly the best part of working here.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A cop, not just any cop. I wanted to be Starsky or Batman (or both!)!
Do you have any hidden talents that listeners might not know about?
